2030 Strategy
Why we exist
2026 marks five years since the launch of the Foundation (formerly R&Co4Generations). Since launching in 2021, our mission has been to empower young people to build a better, fairer future.
At the heart of our new strategy is a clear focus: building resilience where it matters most, in the next generation and the environment.
We help children and young people aged five-21 facing disadvantage to build future-ready skills and competencies to navigate a changing world and drive positive change.
We focus on the environmental systems that shape future opportunities, from climate to nature.
What we do
Our approach combines long-term partnerships with non-profits worldwide, providing financial support, access to the Rothschild & Co network and ecosystem, and opportunities for colleagues to get involved - all designed to create meaningful, lasting impact.
Alongside this, our Venture4Good programme invests in social enterprises addressing social and environmental challenges. We also continue to respond to urgent humanitarian needs, ensuring we can support communities when they need it most.
Looking back, and ahead
Rooted in over two centuries of family philanthropy, our work reflects a long tradition of responsibility and stewardship, with a clear focus on what young people need to thrive today.
Over the past five years, we have built a global community of partners, colleagues and volunteers committed to making a difference. As we look ahead to 2030, this strategy builds on that heritage, sharpening our focus and strengthening how we deliver impact.
